CIRCUIT TRAINING​

Circuit training is a form of body conditioning that targets strength building and muscular endurance. An exercise "circuit" is one completion of all prescribed exercises in the program. Generally, two circuits are completed to achieve an elevated heart rate for a period of 20 minutes.

 

Circuit training is an excellent way to help individuals loose weight, build muscle, tone and increase endurance. This form of training is also proving to be one of the most time efficient methods for people to reach and maintain their fitness goals.

 

How It Works:

 

  • You move every 33 seconds through 28 to 32 stations.

  • Each station has a different exercise whether it is a machine or cardio/rest platform. 

  • a person completes 10 to 20 repetitions at each station.

  • The workout takes a minimum of 30 minutes, in addition to stretching.

 

Heidi Kolstad, owner/manager/teacher, will work through the circuit with each individual, ensuring complete understanding of all machines.

If a member would like a more in-depth training session, Aaron Kapiczowski, a physical education specialist, offers scheduled one-on-one training consults.

Aaron has been training, competing and coaching in Muay Thai and Karate for many years. From beginners to high level competitors, he has the coaching experience and knowledge to help you achieve your goals.

CARDIO WORKOUT

 

Cardio exercise uses large muscle movement over a sustained period of time to elevate an individual's heart rate. People need a minimum of 20 minutes of this increased heart rate 3 times per week, for best results.
